Hello guys I'm new to this form so I will tell you what I do first. My dad and I have been tractor pulling for about 25 years. We use to run a double engine 7200 lb. pulling tractor powered by Buicks. We were running the mark 118 cam, quadrajet carbs. This was a very low buck operation but it was also a very successful one. The Buick engines dissappointed alot of high doller chevy engines. We stopped pulling the double engine tractor many years ago and I continued to pull my mini tractor with a 302 alcohol injected ford in it. I few years back I took a 455 Buick and put it in the mini tractor and it ran great put I broke a rod bolt and ruined the engine so I stuck the ford back in. I'm now ready to put the Buick back in and need some help with the engine. I have the cool runner intake manifold, hypereutectic pistons , c118 cam , and a Flying toilet injection system. I was running this on the engine that the rod bolt broke on. I know I did not have enough compression for the methanol but it still ran good. I need to know what is the best way to go to build this engine to run a methanol.
