64 buick riviera rear window molding..takeoff?

how or what is the easiest way to take the rear window stainless moldings off around the window without messing them up .. started to use that hook tool but cant figure out how to pop the clips ..can any1 help please ??

The hook tool will grab the little clips and bend them back from the outside ring of the trim. Cover the tool in painters tape so it doesn't scratch as easily and then get it solidly hooked on the clip welded into the window channel. You can't see it but you can feel it's hooked. Use the leverage of the tool to pull the clip back then gently pry up on the stainless with a plastic paint scraper. If you get it bent back enough the stainless will pop up on you. Then just find the next clip and work your way around.
