I just picked up this 1964 Buick Riviera. It has 23K original miles on it. Me and a buddy flew to Denver and drove it home to Ohio. It was a very nice trip. For what it's worth, Wally Dallenbach Sr. the famous race car driver, owned this a while back. he bought it back in 1985 from a guy in, believe it or not, Ohio! I am not a fan of True Spokes so they will be changed at some point. Enjoy!

Nice looking car, I remember seeing it on eBay several times and wondered why it hadn't sold yet. Of course your picture is a lot better than what he had!

Nice car and cool that you drove it home from CO. Those kind of trips are great experiences.

Had you seen the car before purchasing? How is it now that you spent some time behind the wheel? Any plans for it or just drive and show?
I agree the wheels need to go.

I like the wire wheels myself. They look much better than the current large mag designs.

The guy that put it on Ebay really just didn't know how to take good pictures or even make a good description. After talking to him on the phone I got a pretty good idea what he had. When I arrived to get it, I was extremely pleased. It was much nicer in person than that ad showed. The only thing wrong with it was the right front wheel was bent. It had a bit of a shimmy. I thought it was flat spotted tires from sitting too long. It smoothed out on the freeway but came back at slow speeds. We just drove it half way back and found a tire shop in Independence, MO. I had them put a new tire on the spare wheel which had never seen the ground. I kept the brand new bias ply tire that came off the spare wheel though. Other than that, the car drove flawlessly! It has a lot of power. Very smooth from 60 to 100! The weather cooperated with us too. We had mostly sun all the way back to Ohio. I never even wiped the car down from the trip before taking this picture!

I plan on changing the wheels and that's about it. Everything else is REALLY nice! Thanks for the compliments!

Big wheels and Jamco springs Woody? Come on, go for it! the LeSabre sure looked good when you were done with it......

Same here. Looked at that one a few times. Would have been a nice trip
for me with lots of friends and relatives in Denver to visit and check it out in
person but the pics and description just didn't blow my skirt up.
Reminds of my first ebay car from Denver also, a 69 Lincoln Mark III.
Had my brother in law check it out first, won the auction for $1700.
Flew from here in Ohio out there, found the lot, did the paper work, drove off. Decided it was very low on gas, pulled into gas station, couldn't open
drivers door from inside, power window didn't work. OK, so just get out passenger side, right? No luck there either. Ever been in a car and can't get out? WTF! Sat there for a few minutes wondering what to do, so drove back to dealer, fortunately he's still there and opens the door from the outside.
It had rained turning to freezing rain the day before and froze up everything.
So we put it in his shop, he gives me a ride to my sister's house, by next day it thawed out, at least one window worked and both inside door handles.
Drove like a dream and made it back to Ohio OK. Did a little pimping on the
side before I sold it though and finally got into Buicks. Good luck with the car!

Can you tell us the tire and rim specs? Back space?Tire size?

It has 3 inch Jamco springs all the way around. The wheels are American Racing Torq Thrust II's. Fronts are 18x8 with a 4 inch backspace. The rears are 20x10 with 5.5 inch backspace. I had the center bore opened up on the wheels to 88mm so I did not need spacers. From tires are 225/40/18 and the rears are 275/35/20. I might step up to a little bigger tire in the future. How long did it take to get your springs from Jamco?? I ordered 3" springs for my Riv a month ago. Still waiting. :Do No:

I think it was only about 10 days to get mine.
