John Looney, the Carolinas Chapter GSCA Director, wrote me today in response to my inquiry as to why he was not going to go to the GS Nationals.

I am saddened to report that he had a tumor removed from his neck last week and it turned out to be cancer. The big "C" has struck again. He also reported that the cancer that made up the tumor is not a primary cancer. He also has more cancer somewhere else. He will be undergoing a PET scan. Maybe he has already had it. I will let everyone know when I hear something.

John is already on my prayer list and I am hoping that all of you will be praying for him to get well soon. With the help of the Lord, I have hope for John. He is a really nice guy and a very good Director for our chapter. He is also a believer and I hope this will make him steadfast in the Lord.

Best of all, he is really a gung-ho Buick guy "Going Fast With Class"!!!!

John really helped me out on a few items and can not be a more stand up guy.

He is in my prayers.

X3 John is a great guy. He has helped me out with buick parts (sold me a radiator and delivered it to the shop for me for next to nothing!) as well as other things. I will be praying for you and your family John. Ed

Thanks everyone. The prognosis is good. The PEt Scan revealed the primary tumor is in my left tonsil and it appears to be small. I am having it removed Thursday and they will know then if it has spread any further. A little radiation and I should be good to go.
