Speaking of KC Buick owners.....

Since it seems like every event planned this spring for us Buick folks has been waterlogged, from the Nats to Mike G's shindig, I figured I'd throw my hat in the ring and have a meet here in Lawrence, Kansas at my shop. Been thinking about doing it for awhile to meet all the Buick owners I haven't met, and some who I really should catch up with as I have been too busy with the business to get out and "mingle" the last few years.

Date will be Saturday June 5th. Figure on arriving around noon.

Location is: Overkill Street Performance and Racing. 941 East 23rd Street in Lawrence. Easy as heck to get here. Just take 10 hiway from the KC side straight into town. Second stoplight in is 23rd and Haskell intersection. Shop is on the Southwest corner in the strip mall.

What to expect: BBQ'd burgers and dogs, some cold sodas and a good time. Also in Lawrence that night starting st 5pm is a cruise night at one of our local restaurants, Set 'em UP Jacks. It starts at 5pm and if anyone would like we can roll up as a group and "take over" lol. Bonus is the restaurant gives coupons for 33% off to registered attendees of the cruise night. Registration is free BTW.

Respond on here if your interested in coming as a rough count would be helpful in determining the quantities of supplies I'll need for the BBQ.

I'll make updates as we get closer. Since this is an event that can be rained out and I know it may be clear here and not there, or vice versa, I'll make posts so everyone knows if it is still on if we're gonna have a clear day here.

As of today the weather forecast is saying no rain chance and mid 80's temps for Saturdays get together.

If the forecast holds I wanna see some Buicks Saturday. So, come on out and hang with friends who will listen, understand, cheer for you and and even give a shoulder to lean on if necessary in times of Buick need.

Saturdays forecast for June 5th for Lawrence is a chance for rain overnight tonight. After 7 am sunny to partly cloudy all afternoon with a 20% chance for rain after 6pm.

So... Looks good for an afternoon BBQ and meet. If you were thinking about attending then there is no excuse not to. :TU: So come on out and hang out and show off that Buick.

For travelers: BBQ is a go. It's partly cloudy here at 9:08AM and tending to clear towards sunny as the day progresses.

Just wanted to sat Thanks for those that came to talk some Buicks yesterday.

Mike=Beautiful 72 man. I love the fact that it is a low option car. In my mind it fits the image of what muscle cars were all about...whipping up at the stoplight. Cars loaded to the gills, although cool, don't really fit the stoplight brawler mental image for me. lol


Ricky=Thanks for making that long drive. Your daughters Beetle got in my head like a bad song the rest of the day. I started seeing them all over last night and out of the Blue had the urge to start punching people and saying "slug bug". LOLOLOL
