I am kicking around different trannies to use as I want to switch my car back to a stick over this winter. I want overdrive and would really prefer 5 or more gears too. I have been watching ebay, etc looking at T-56's and Tremec TKO-600's and even considered the GM version of the A833 MY6 4 speed but was wondering if this could be a more budget friendly approach. I know these came in heavy full size extended cab longbox trucks with a 350 and hold up so maybe it would live behind a big buford in a really light car without excessive abuse? I've googled it and heard people say it's not all that strong and some say it is?

Any and all replies will be greatly appreciated!

Don't the truck trannies have a really steep first gear. Like almost unusable kind of steep?
