Trans Serial whereabouts?

Can anyone tell me were the serial is stamped on a 74 TH400? Trying to see if I have an orignal tranny in my stage 1 and I cant wait until the chassis manual arrives I just won of eBay so I can look it up :laugh:

on the drivers side of the tranny near the aft end there is a machined flat pad just above the pan with the last six digits of the vin numbers stamped into it (hopefully).

Also, being a Stage 1 it should have the BB or OW code on it on the little tin plate rivited to the tranny case (my parts book shows 74 as code BB).
