How big will fit?

I have a 72 and have been running 29.5-10.5-15 Mickey Thompson slicks. I am going to need new tires soon and I see that Mickey Thompson has a 29.5-10.5-15 wide version of this tire. Summit says a 1" wider tread. Have any of you tried to see if these tires will fit on a 72 skylark? I have the outside lip trimmed and the inner wheel wells dented in some for room. The standard 29.5-10.5s are close but don't rub, The rims fit dead center in wheel well so that won't be a problem. I hate to buy the wides to find out they won't fit. I want the wides because of the track I race on can be a skating rink some days. Tom

Hello, No one can please tell me what is the biggest slick they have fit on there car with stock frame? Tom

Not a slick, but I run 325/50R15 DragRadials on my 70 convertible. Wheel is a 15x10 with 5-5/8" backspacing. Tires are 28" tall, 10.5" tread and 13" section width, according to Summit Racing. BIG tire under there. But looks great.

I did have to trim about a 1/4" from the top of the fender well for good clearance.
