Prayers for my Dad [Archive]

Hi Folks

On Friday, my dad, who's 66 years old, was admited to the hospital, He had not been feelling well for about a week, and was getting pretty weak.

A chest Xray reveled he has pneumonia in his RH lung.

He was a little better on Saturday Morning, but took a turn for the worst last night, and is in the ICU again today. It appears they are going to take him down and get him on a ventilator today, to let him rest.

Prayers for him are appreciated.

I also wanted to let you folks know that the Buick stuff is going to be on hold for me, until we get thru the worst of this. Please pass that on to anyone who might be looking for me, in the next day or two.

Our thoughts and prayers for your Dad. My dad was in the hospital for a week with a blood infection 2 years ago so I know what you are going through.

I hope he gets well soon.

you got it Jim, pneumonia is nothing to mess with, I've had it before and it's a rough ride, luckily for me I was 26 years old at the time

Prayers for your Dad and family coming your way. I lost my Dad a couple months ago and spent the last month by his side. Family always comes first.
Take care of yourself too.

Thanks for the kind words and prayers folks.

He did improve somewhat yesterday afternoon, his O2 levels were good enough to keep him off the Ventilator, just has a mask on.. But he still was in the ICU as of around noon today.

I was able to stop by the shop for a couple hours, to work on a project today, but I will be in and out all week.

Hi Jim, I hope your dad pulls through and gets well. I know what you are going through. We have an old friend of mine living with us that is an 83 year old WWII vet that is at the Tampa VA hospital with pnuemonia right now in the MICU section. He was admitted about a month ago for it, they treated it and released him, but darned if it didn't set back in. He has a weak heart working at 26% they say so I don't know how long he is going to be there. I'll be thinking of your dad along with my friend in the prayers. Take care.

I've not met you, or even spoken to you. This advice may be moot.

Make sure he knows you love him.

Anyone else reading this, the advice is the same. Make sure your loved ones know that they are loved!

Our family will keep yours in are prayers Jim, my father has taken a turn for the worse after we last talked. Back in the hospital more Cancer... surgery & surgery again Sunday night. That TH 400 can wait Jim,we must take care of family first !
