started to put on the 1.25 sway bar with new brackets from energy.And the the last bolt hole is stripped out. Is it better it tap a bigger hole or fill in the old hole(tig weld) and then retap.The frame is powdercoated.I thought I would just put a lock nut on it through the frame.Put as my luck would have it,it would be the hole under the steering box that has a brace in the frame to prevent me from doing that.Looking for some ideals

There was a thread about this some time ago. The best solution that I remember was a guy who welded a small square of plate steel where the sway bar bolts up. He then tapped the plate steel for a more robust mounting scenario.
