Has anyone tried these with the Tri-Shield Center Cap? I know they arent correct Buick rallys but considering they are so hard to come by these could be an option. Just looking to see if anyone has experience with them...

They make repro Buick rallys too. Not hard to come by at all.

isn't the only difference between the old and buick rim, the shape of the "spokes" on the rim?

I talked to Specialty Wheel today and they are no longer producing the Buick wheel. They did say that they have enough blanks to produce a few more. The price they quoted was $259 per wheel and it would take 2 weeks.

My question is whether or not the Olds wheel is significantly different enough for a $90 difference in price per wheel. Im working on a 72 Skylark so being complete original isnt a priority.

They didnt but from what I see on the website it looks like the caps from the Chevy SS, Olds SSI, and Buicks are all made the same.

Check with Wheel Vintiques. I talked to them back in October and they were in the process of reproducing the Buick Rally center. They wanted to have it done for SEMA back in November and couldn't give me a price at that time.

For what its worth I don't think you can put a Buick chrome wheel center in an Olds SS1 wheel. They used a tall cone type center and I think the hole in the wheel is too small for the Buick centers.
