Mark, I understand that you are a VA vendor?
Have a few questions for you. I'd like to put a VA unit in my 69 GS non air vert. Would I need a Chevelle setup? Which unit would be right for me?
Also would I be able to adapt a factory A/C controller to the unit? What about compressor brackets?
Thanks for any help.

I think the hardest part is fabricating a bracket to mount the compressor. I don't think anyone has an off the shelf unit.

You want the GEN IV surefit for a Chevelle. You can modify the bracket and fab the correct pieces and alter the controller using the parts for the Chevelle. We have done a few. Only takes a few hours more.

Have to keep that in mind, one day I do want to put A/C back in the GS. It'd certainly expand it's driveability here in the summer!

Mark, when you say modify the bracket, are you talking about stock Buick A/C brackets or brackets supplied with the kit?

Thanks for the reply Mark. Is the Gen IV electronically controlled? No vacuum or cables. If so could the stock A/C controller be used with this system or better off hiding the VA controls under the dash.
Also is it possible to use a factory Buick compressor with the VA instead of the Sandin?

I'm putting all the info together and will be giving you a call to place an order sometime this winter.

Sanden systems differ from old style and won't work together. Electric controls can be adapted. And modifying furnished bracketry, not original.
