Hey everybody,

After a 10 month hiatus, I once again have a Skylark! I sold my beloved 67 coupe to buy a house which ended up turning into a total disaster. In short, the title on the house fell through and I ended up minus one Lark. At least until a few days ago. I flew to Dallas, purchased this 71 Skylark and drove it home in the middle of the night...spooky to say the least. I packed a duffel bag full of tools and prayed to get home! Haha:pp The trip went great, except the headlights flickered on and off all through the 150 mile drive to Abilene. I made it home though, and I can't wait to start workin on it! Im off work tomorrow, and so shall the fun begin.....Man i missed havin an old car!

Replace the floor mounted dimmer switch and you should be good to go on the lights.

Congrats! :beer

Yeah I thought that too, but if i hold the headlight switch in juuust the right place it works. According to the interchange, the one from my wrecked truck will work though!

Haha, thanks! My plans for it right now are to more or less pick up where I left off with my old one...swapping the 350 for a 455. It'll be a while before I can do that though, so I'm just going to freshen up the 350 and enjoy driving it daily. BTW, I am selling the MSD pro billet distributor that came on it in favor of a stock one, call it a reassignment of assets. Thanks everybody for your encouragement.
