New wheels finally arrived

I waited two months for these Centerlines but I'm happy with the look. I had to sell the Torq Thrusts because of clearance issues when I lowered the front end. I went with 16" rims so I could keep the nearly new tires but 16's are out of favor so the pickings are slim when you need a custom backspacing. Here's a comparison of the two. You can also see the difference in stance after I installed Global West springs front and rear. Front are ~ 1" lower than stock and rear is ~ 3/4" lower than stock.

Looks great I think the new wheels look better than the Torque Thrusts and I usually love the look of Torque Thrusts but you really made a good choice of wheels

Thanks. Is was painted that way when I bought the car. According to the previous owner the color is factory Chrysler color. He saw it on a Dodge Dakota and looked up the code.

The front springs are Global West S-13's for 64-67 small block A-body's. The rear are Global West S-60's for 64-66 A-body's. The ride is firm but comfortable. The rake is partly due to the fact that the rear tires are about 1/2" taller than the fronts.

Yes. I really like the look of the TT D's but clearance is definitely an issue, especially on the first generation A-bodies. I just unloaded them for half what I paid for them a year ago.

Thanks Steve. I was going to order the Billet Specialties wheels that you have but the Center Lines were a little less expensive and more importantly, I was told at the time, a quicker turnaround. Turns out I waited two months for them (sorta like your tranny)! Ah well, I'm happy with them. Not exactly a classic look yet they seem to fit the car well.

Might have to have them for the Hugger Orange GS (damg Chibby color anyway). I need to cover up the rear drums.. shoulda/coulda/woulda done discs when I converted to the hopped up 12-bolt.

Do you know if they're available in 17"? Would prefer 16 for a bit closer to old school but want minimum 'Z' rated tires.

Thanks. The wheels are Centerline Thrusters and yes they are available in 17". 17's are the way to go if you want a quick turnaround and a wider selection. I had to wait 2 months because 16's are out of favor and they had to wait for production of the hoops. 17's would have taken about 2 weeks to manufacture.

225/55 up front and 255/50 in back
