When did GM go to the space saver or donut spare? Approximately what size are they? I'm think of putting a couple on the front of my 53 for trailering
purposes. I need to drop the front end down 3" to 4".

Bob, what bolt pattern are you running? If it's not too uncommon I'll bet we can figure something out.

Devon I'm running the 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern. Typical Chevy or A-body.

I had one in my car until a couple years ago. It was from a Vette, unsure of the year. The height was 26.5", 5 X 4-3/4" spacing,, same as the tires on the car so it made sense to carry it.

Thanks for the replies fellows. I found a couple of space savers at the local wrecking yard.
