Here is a nice example of a GMAD build sheet for a loaded GS 455. A friend owned this car for a while but sold it some time ago. It was a nice rust free Texas car for much of it's life I believe. This is about as loaded as you will see. Wonder why they did not spring for the Stage-1? Also how about those dinky little tires. Some time ago I know someone wanted to know what two letter code was on a 70 fan clutch. Well this is a GS 455 with AC and it had a BC coded fan clutch. Also look at box #17. The front sway bar is crossed out and another hand written in. These are the last three digits of the part numbers. The .970" bar is relpaced with the 1" bar. Maybe because of the Rally package. Funny thing is I have seen the .970" bar on some orignal GSX's. Not sure why GM would have 2 bars within .03" of each other? The bars can be identified by the shape of the nub on the passenger end.

Thanks for posting. I thought the same thing about the sway bar before I read what you put. Do you really think a bar that tiny little bit bigger made a difference? I don't think it would.

I would not think there would be a difference. I would not want the extra weight I guess.

If made of the same steel the 1" bar would be 13% stiffer than the 0.97" bar.
