Spedomiter/mile Counter Question

MY SPEDOMITER WORKS, BUT MY MILE COUNTER DOESN'T. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHATS WRONG?

either the gear drive for the odometer is broken or the grease inside is so old & dry that it clogged the mechanism .

It's been a long time for this thread. I had,(have), the same problem.
I pulled the dash, dis-assembled the cluster, and took apart the speedometer.
Lo and behold, the long white plastic worm gear that connects the speedo' to the odo' is broke at the worm gear end.
Does anyone know the best fix for this?:Do No:
Or better yet, where to get a replacement?:pray:
I really don't want to have to go through all this again in a few hundred or thousand miles.
