There are parts on that car that are desireable. The auto climate control module in the dash is easy to remove, just pull the facia off and it takes a 7mm nut driver to pull the entire unit. Might as well get that 5 band equalizer radio while your there. The radio unplugs very easily, don't cut the wiring harness. If the car has the auto climate control it's also equipped with the auto water temp control unit.
Carefully pull those OE rear bumper fillers. Very rare if they're not cracked. The aftermarket replacements are molded in two pieces and look bad.

Thanks for the info. I was going to pull the radio, I know the GN guys like those. The only filler thats not cracked is the drivers side rear.
Is the auto water temp control unit built into the climate control or is it a seperate piece?

It's a separate piece. It's mounted on the intake manifold. You should be able to spot it because it has the heater hoses associated with it.

Excellent reproduction bumper fillers are available from the Buick Farm. I just installed a set this past summer & they needed VERY LITTLE to fit perfectly.

Tom,
Did you get ABS or fiberglass from the Buick Farm? I've put two sets on, one of each material, and each has needed fitting for clearance. The fiberglass is molded as the originals, but the finish left a lot to be desired. (I think that too many have been pulled from the same mold.) The ABS ones I installed required a lot of grinding to get the edges to line up properly and the thickness of the ABS was inconsistent.
I've been led to believe that there are only two manufacturers of these, one for the fiberglass and one for the ABS. Do you by any chance know who manufactured the one you got from the Buick Farm?
Thanks, Ed

Ed, Doug has been working for years on these & compared to what has been available in the past, IMHO, are the best out there. I don't know who he has making them for him. I DO know he has spent many $$$$$ getting these done. As far as I'm concerned in this case the $$$$ don't matter as much as the quality of the product.

I totally agree. I'm going to call Doug and talk with him about these.
Thanks,

This looks like the piece but it's badly corroded.
