Total dismantle, media blast complete, frame off restore it like all the rest I have done.

How thick was that putty laid on? Seems someone couldn't be bothered to do the finishing the right way.
Some very interesting patch panels in the roof as well. Exactly how are those sheets held in place?
That kind of crap has got to annoy you like no other when it rolls in. I'm sure you love restoring these cars, but dealing with problems/ messes otehrs have created must get old real fast.

those sheets look like sound deaden from the picture, but I'm probably wrong. Your front windshield channel pretty much looks to be in the same shape mine was in.

nope they are sheets of alunimum rivited to the roof to keep the putty from drooling thru the rust holes

Good deal Michael, save another one! Good luck w/ the nose lining up. If those noses have been tweaked at all, they can be very tough to align. Confidence is high you can do it, though........
