i put a 750 carb on a 455 engine buick wilgcat . it drinks to much gas and requires to much adjusting. i want to go back to factory model carb or the closest thind to it. i want a clean driver not a race car i suspect the quadro-jet by rochester or sedibroc will do the trick. im not sure what size. i want a carb. thats going to fit correctlty with out and adapter plate any sugestions

What you want for best fuel millage is a professionally rebuilt stock Q jet to match your year and model of engine. The Q jet is going to give you the best fuel millage compared to an aftermarket carb simple as that.

Contact Ken or Mark in TX and they can set you up:

What brand of carb do you have now? Are you using a stock intake? The best Quadrajet for your 455 is the 800cfm. That's what I have sitting on top of my new 462.

Holley 750cfm and drinks gas like it's going out of style 455 engine. seems like the 750 suited for racing
