No, that's not true.. the digital description of the pictures are all still there, for some reason in the changeover the database won't jive with the location description to find the image.

Your the only one that has noticed this, but I fear that there may be more folks.

As soon as Bucy gets some sleep, I will have him look into it, and maybe we can restore your images.

I would suggest that in the future, when your posting mulitple pictures of your shop projects.. use photobucket.. it's free, has a great bulk uploader to upload may pictures at once and when you post the image file hosted on their site, it shows up as a full size picture in your posts, which has a much higher impact on the audience your trying to reach.

That's exactly how I post pictures. I have done this since we had to go to thumbnails on the board here, to keep the costs related to images down.. and I hate thumbnails, although I will admit that this latest version of of the board is much nicer for uploading and viewing attachments.

Also there would be no worry about losing content in the future.

Well, I sure wish that was true. However, the Internet isn't as stable a place as we all would like to think. Moreover, a free service . . . . well you can't exactly demand better service for what you paid for.

If you only need pictures to survive for a year or less that's probably fine. However, if you really want permanent, consider hosting the photos yourself a web service that you pay for. That's the only way to have some recourse when a fickle Internet business changes it mind and invokes one of those service agreement clauses that of course you (and everyone else) didn't read . . . .

Heavy sigh . . . . it is a jungle out there :af:
