Canadians may be a bunch of crown kissers but they are dead serious about their racing. If you gotta vent heavy taxation do it their way, burnin' up the 1/4 mile.
I have personally raced at Mission and will vouch for great track conditions, low altitude, and tons of parking with beautiful surroundings. This may be one of the nicest tracks you'll ever go to. The Boarder Crossing is quick and easy if you go through Sumas, Wa. The wait is usually less than 10 min. and the track is 20 min. from there.
What would be great is to get some of us NW guys to convoy up. I'll go and I think Rick Henderson said he would follow me up, so if you can, this would be alot of fun one last time before the rain/sleet/snow hits.
Here are some pics. from Western Speedway in Victoria. This is a really short track, but these guys are super serious and yet very friendly. :TU:

This was interesting. The guy with the hat would call out car #'s and then hand you your time slip. It was new to me anyway...

What is it 330' long. The GS with 5.45 on the window makes no sense in normal racing. Unless it has a rocket in the trunk it won't run that fast in the 1/8th.

Yes Dennis, it is 300 feet. When I said short, I mean SHORT! If you think that's bad you should have seen the shut down end of the track... :eek2:
Keep in mind this is a little po-dank track on the island, not the track at Mission BC. These pictures were to simply show that the queen has allowed smokey burnouts in the province of B.C.

I thought 1/8 mile made you think quick, can't imagine only half of that.

Mission Raceway - the closest to Vancouver & the best local one!
Any other diehard buick 455'ers around Vancouver?
I'm looking for someone with machine shop equipment & 455 experience to help me rebuild my 455.

Hi Guys,
Well....I just listened to the weather forecast and it doesn't sound good. Sounds like today and Monday are the only possibility for rain free days.
We've had about 3 months of absolutely no rain but it appears out luck has run out!
Sorry

That's too bad for the guys who can make it up this weekend (me not being one of them)!
Hey Jerry, are you thinking about a cam swap as an alternative weekend activity!? :Brow:

Before I do any changes to the car I want to run it. I want to know how it works "right off the dyno". :)

HEY GUYS, well here we go 1:29 friday afternoon I know the weather looks bad but I'm laying out the $300 for ferries because its the last chance till next year and if I get just one 9 sec time slip it will be worth it! Then I can put away the iron heads and move on to the stage 3 stuff. IF NO RACING THEN GUESS WHAT:beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer ....CHRIS
