Properly reconditioned rods with new bolts will last to 6k no problem!!:Smarty:

Don't forget a good balance job, and of course, the right 'Buick' oil clearances!!:TU:

The '73 & newer rods with the capscrews are generally recognized as the stronger of the bunch. I believe TA Perf. has new rod bolts/nuts for the '68-'72 style rods, so use of the earlier rods shouldn't make you nervous!!

John - PC software like Desktop Dyno will definitely 'get you in the ballpark'....of course, there's nothing like some 'real world' combos that you can get from many guys here on this board!!:TU:

There are quite a few 'proven' combos that should give you at least the 350hp you're looking for.

*One word of caution re: building Buick engines - They don't like the typical clearances that most machine shops would normally use on Chevies, etc. Rods & mains HAVE to be kept tighter - .0015"-.002". Also, HV oil pumps on Buicks are generally a real NO-No!!

Best advice: Ask many questions!! :TU: We'll get you hooked up.:bglasses:

My brother put a '70 Buick 350 into an '81 Cutlass - had alot of fun with that car!! Your Regal sounds like a good project!!:TU:
