You'd have to be into the big cars to appreciate this, but I wanted to see what a two door post LeSabre woulda looked like. Kinda like Chevy having the Biscayne.

This has nothing to due with paintshop but,
from the looks of your 66 Electra in your avatar,
it appears that the rear tires on that baby are
oversized.
It that 66 tubbed?
Just curious.

Tom, the Avatar is photoshop trickery. I like to play tricks with cars like widening the tyres, changing the colour (aussie spelling), lowering and 'working' the background. It's a great way to spend a couple of (dozen) hours.

How did you guys learn how to play with PhotoShop?
what would be the easiesnt way to learn with software, i have it at home but i try playing with it last night but..no luck

Smartin
01-06-2004, 10:39 AM
the easiest way to learn is to lock yourself in the dorm room and just play for hours and hours and hours and hours.

If you don't have a dorm room to lock yourself in, find a dark cold room to emulate it:laugh:

recluse_71
01-06-2004, 01:33 PM
I opted to pay $200 for a photoshop course at the local vo-tech. Didnt cover everything on photoshop, but all the basics and some of the advanced stuff. I didnt have the patience for the "lock yourself in" method, and started see'ing shadow people after like 4 hours.
Easy course though. Its funny how something seems so complicated but once you start learning it, its like "wow why didnt i figure that out at home"

There is a tool on the toolbar that is called the "Burn Tool".

Use that to darken areas you want. You can also increase the contrast by going to the "Image" menu, then "Adjustments". You will then click on "Brightness and Contrast".

You may also opt to select specific areas you want to adjust the contrast on....if you need to darken just one spot.

I am building this car for my Son who is in the Marines and is in Afghanistan and also was in the War in Iraq where he won a the Medal of Valor so this is my Gift to him for serving Our Country and also making me a VERY PROUD FATHER!

They are American Racing Wheels. That I am not really fond of but they look okay. I just wanted to let everyone know in case the person who owns the car sees it and freaks out!

Once agin Thank you to any one who can help me

Does anyone use the 3-D program BRYCE? It's an awesome program with endless options. I don't have any car pics. But here is one for a band. The background and tree are generated in Bryce. The silhouettes were made in Corel Photopaint and imported into Bryce, then rendered. Then I took the rendering into Photopaint and added the faces (blending them in). The logo had an embossing effect added to polish it up then was imported onto the pic. What I did with Bryce is just about 1% of what you can do with the program.

here is the link
http://www.andalusha.com/photos.htm

P.S. the reason I did the link is because of an issue I have with my windows explorer. It can't handle going from one folder to another with out crashing (very frustrating). I have windows XP, does anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks Floyd......I never thought of that.......It Looks cool! How did you do that? I really wish I knew how to work my Photoshop.....I can wrench a car but I can't figure this puter stuff out!!!! That is the reason I like the pre 70's cars cause they did not need a computer to run them!
Chopped and Lowered he would love that!

I Hope that he comes back safe also! Things are heating up over there and Mr Bush wants to get relected so I think we all will be hearing alot more coming out of Afganistan real soon! His Camp had a rocket attack a few days ago no one was hurt. So Everyone PLEASE keep all of our Men and Women in the military your prayers no matter where they are!

Thanks again Floyd!

I don't have photoshop. I just use paintshop. The eyedropper in the toolbar will pick up background colors, thus allowing good blends. That pic only took five minutes to do. Lotsa fun! I can't lower a car though. Thats were photoshop comes in. For me to lower a car I'd have to erase and redraw the wheels. Again, I hope your kids OK. Don't let the media get you down. The majority of the arabs our glad when we help. I am a gulf war vet.
