Mike, love youir black 67 Special.
Still my favorite color, couldn't find a black had to settle for this
white one. And it don't have no 455, still a 300 (with Isky cam), but does have a th350 tranny, front discs, and similar wheels to yours.
67s Specials are still my favorite model, this being my second one.:TU:

I like your white one! Very clean. Wish all my special deluxe trim pieces were present on mine and in better shape cause I would have kept them on. Look good on yours. Car didn't start black, was originally green with black interior. Changed to black when completed body and paint. Really like the detailing in your engine compartment.

Mine had the 300 as well but once it started giving me trouble I couldn't resist the urge to swap. It was just one of those things ... if I'm going to pull the motor I might as well look at a swap ... if I'm going to swap in a motor, it might as well be rebuilt ... if I'm going to rebuild it, might as well build it up a little ... once the snowball starts rolling it's hard to stop it. I'm still trying to get the tuneup just right but even running as it is the inner fenders are becoming well protected by a layer of shredded rubber.

Thanks. Must say in this special case I slightly prefer the 4dr HT to the 2dr, the pretty roofline is enhanced by the thinner and more angled c-pillar.
Love this car, its ride is so amazing. Has only 63000 km (39000mls) on the odometer, one previous owner from southern France.

Dear Buick fans,

Back on the day before Thanksgiving of last year, my venerable 1965 Buick Special station wagon was whacked by a German sports sedan. Thanks in part to the support of the kind folks here, I managed to have the damage repaired, the car repainted, and a substantial bit of exterior restoration done. Finally, 234 days (almost 8 months) after the accident, the car is finally back home in our garage!! Below are photos just after the accident and the completed repairs:

There are more photos and a description of the car's history in the V-8 Buick garage: http://www.v8buick.com/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=31617. (http://www.v8buick.com/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=31617) The car has been in our family since we bought her second-hand in 1968, and she has had a full-life. This car was no barn find. She's been a working-girl all her 46 years. So it's a real treat to see back in her splendor again! :)

Enjoy everybody and thanks for all your help!!

Cheers, Edouard :beer

Unfortunately I don't have any decent pics of my current project other than a lot of parts but I do have 1 completed car....

Here is the Buick I am working on. It is a 1964 Buick Electra convertible with the bucket seat option and a dual quad 425. This pics was taken in 1973...

This is the engine after I tore it down and unstuck it. The engine only had 10 miles on it before I started but it stat for about 15 years...

Mike,
Welcome to v8buick and to the '66 Skylark / Special / GS world!!! Might want to stay away from that Jimmy guy; don't think he knows much about the 66's!!! BIG BIG LOL!

Hope you post a few progress pics occasionally. Here's a couple pics of my red Special conversion to basically a GS clone (minus emblems & side trim). It's a fun ride now with a '65 401 & ST400 and 3:55 gears and bucket seats....

You and Jim have fun!
