The cap just pops off. You can pull it off with your hands.
THat exposes a nut that holds the wheel on the column. Remove the nut.
Now, you will need a steering wheel puller. These are available at the local parts store. I was lucky enough to have an Auto Zone that rents them out. The puller is self-explanitory. It should pull right off!

Ryan it will not hurt to put a rag or towel over the spokes during the removal process .
Helps keep you from scratching or nicking the spokes while your hooking up the puller .
Been there the hard way at one time ....
Good Luck !:TU:

Best way to avoid scratchs is to remove wheel from hub first (simply unscrews) and then use puller on hub only.

Sorry about that . Yes you can remove the wheel by removing the screws. I'm thinking about the time I removed the wheel in a parking lot , to move it over a few clicks so it would be centered going down the road.

When installing the wheel, there is a centering mark on the wheel and steering column stud so you have the wheel properly aligned so the horizontal bars are horizontal when the wheels are straight forward.

if u do not see the centering marks , u should mark a spot with a punch , on the steering column shaft & steering wheel collar , BEFORE removing the wheel . that way u have an easy re-installation .
