Hello,checkout my restoproject:Still going strong last summer(look at the AUTOBAHN picture!)-Don't forget to laugh about my at least 30 year old top(sponsored by 3M Tape:grin: ),have a new one with the glass back window at home.Will put it on when car is restored.
Car has:Power top,Ps,Pb,Super Turbine 400,340 /2-V,bench seat.

I had a 1966 Buick LeSabre convertible in the early 1980s,and my parents bought a brand new one in 1966.They paid about $5,200 for it.Any chance you could email some more jpeg pics of your '66 project?.....John

Hey Arno, I remember going down that Autobaun one night in my buddies 70 LS6 Chevelle just after he got it shipped over. I had just tuned it up for him and we were trying it out. I wound it out as fast as it would go and a Mercedes went around us like a freight train passing a tramp! I also saw some dandy pile ups down towards Frankfurt a couple of times. Having any luck getting the stuff to fix your trans? Drink a GB for me, Mike

a friend of mine had a '70 chevelle LS-6 (450 hp) also-this thing would go uphill like most German car downhill.He always said that a car has power when you step on the throttle and the speedo is faster than the rev counter.We were burning tires from stoplight to stoplight in Giessen-showed those Audis and Rabbit GTI's what a boat can do...

this Autobahn is often piled-when you were over here ,driven speed was probably around 180 Km/h-now the new cars go between 240/260 Km/h.There is just no way you can keep up with an american car-but there is still the fun at the stoplight.....
