I am wondering if anyone can give me a check list of things to check to make sure I have things wired correctly. I have been bouncing around from post to post checking things and I want to make sure things are correct. The car is stock other than a pertonix unit under the distr. I would like tyo know were to start and what kind of voltage I should have and where. I have some things screwed up and need to get them in order. Unfortunately, I dont know where.

And as always, I appreciate everyones reply's

How about a rephrase this.

My car is a 70 and it is running but I dont think it is charging. Can somone tell me what kind of voltage I should be reading at certain points. I am fairly knowledgeable at electric but I am not sure how things were done on this car and I dont want to miss something or chase down a dead end trail. (ie resister wire).

Should get 14.4v or close but not more a anything over 1000 rpm.
Take the reading at + on the bat or big term t alt. heck, any non resistor 12v source...

If its not 14v then star with voltage regulator ($10) then the alt.
