I got a 79 chevy q-jet im trying out on my car. It idles good and run good till wot. What i think is happening is I don't believe the secondarys are opening all the way. Theres a lever of some kind keeping the the air valve from opening on secondary side. Im talking about the ones on the bottom of the carb. (My terminology my be wrong). The lever im talking about is located behind the chock at the bottom of the carb. When I open the throttle all the way the T shaped arm on the end of the air valve hangsup on a lever behind the choke. I wish i could explain this better. Anyone know what im talking about?
