Stage 1 In A Chevelle

Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased a 455 stage 1 that came out of a 70 GS originally I think. I am doing a complete rebuild of the engine with a bigger cam upgrade, a new intake, long tube headers with flowmaster 30 series mufflers with dumps, I'm getting an angle cut job on the valves, a K&N air assembly, not sure what carb to use, I'm planning on running NOS in the immediate future. Anyone out there have any know anything that I could get done that I have not mentioned that can give me a good bang for the buck?? If the machine shop is not famliar with building Buicks, you may get more of a bang for the buck than you would like. The old saying that you cannot build a Buick like a Chevy is so true. Different tolerances for Buicks or no oil pressure. Do not get the cam bearing in correctly or make the oil mods to a 70 etc and a short ride may ensue. I would think twice if you are not dealing with an experienced Buick shop. Chevy tolerances and approaches will leave you unhappy. And no it does not mattter if they have built a thousand Chevy motors do not let them touch yours.

And how. I can vouch for the importance of cam bearing alignment. Ouch. Seems as though I pay more than my share of stupidity tax. Go figure.
