OK, here is a good one. I had to replace the panel on the front side of the rear seat support (72 GS). We had to transfer the rear seat support hooks as well. I took detailed measurements, backed up by measurements off other cars. We have mounted the three hooks with screws to make sure they are ok before welding them back on, and we test fit the rear seat...then it struck me that I don't know where the rear seat should sit since the interior was removed when I bought the car, and it burned up anyway.
It looks to be low where the screws attach the bottom part (that was all replaced as well though!) Top part of rear seat sits about 1/4" above the actual rear seat support, but I didn't have the grooved piece for the top boot installed and we can't fit the lower cushion as the body braces are still welded in as the body is coming off the frame soon.
Can someone take a quick look on heir 70-72 and see roughly how high the rear seat cushion sits above the rear seat support?? I'm trying to locate a good sideview of the boot reatining metal part as well to see exactly how that is mounted....
Thanks
Tim
