Seeing as how John "did not" write that letter I see no reason to leave the other tread up. Somebody wanted to use a high profile name and John was the victim.

I saw the letter yesterday in my subscription. I can`t believe how many people are wrong about what went down with the #4 shoot-out! Some of these guy`s are saying it wasn`t suppose to take place at the Nat`s? I made hotel room reservations for nothing? "The shoot-out was moved to Bristol." Greg or I knew nothing of a 2 of 3 Hemi vs Buick shoot-out, nor was it mentioned the entire weekend. When MCR folded so did the shoot-out.

Really? Did someone post that about John not writing it? I must have missed it...

Still the shootout at the BPG Quaker State should be considered. Lets see, Doug H., Scotty G., Mike T, John S., John Z. and Greg G. ought to make a good showing for the Buicks.

:Brow: I`ll give you Buick guy`s a small "heads-up", there will be another challenge offered up!:beer Not limited to the GSCA!!! This time it will be done more in the public eye, so everybody won`t be left in the dark.:)

This shoot-out stuff drives us all a little harder. My car wouldn`t be as quick as it is, if I wasn`t concerned about the Buicks. And I`m sure Greg`s car wouldn`t be as fast as it is, if he wasn`t gunning for the HEMI`s.....I think the cars have made leaps and bounds making sure their brand stay`s out in front. It`s good for everybody.:) and fun!

Dave, why don't you pump up your GN and show us all what it's all about! Instead of the us against them stuff! Then you can play with us Buick people without being 'the other guy'! Just a thought, R

The GN was sold long ago........:( I do love those cars.:)

These shoot-outs aren`t personal, it`s about fun, competition, something to force you to push yourself, camaraderie, etc, etc..

oh, last but not least bragging rights...

Dave, I wasn't sure if you still had the GN, but I figured it would put you in good stances with the Buick folks, at least you appreciacte what a Buick can do and what a Hemi can do, and I know you know this is all for fun, not to beat up on each other! Bill Wills and I talked tonight about having a Hemi Vs Buick shootout at Norwalk at the Buick RaceDay event, and you know if you want to do it you are more than welcome, but I don't see the need to take this whole ordeal there, both versions of muscle cars, Hemi's or Stage 1/2's have made their mark in the ground, for the most part, I think we Buick folk, respect the Chrysler folk, and vice versa, we can beat 'cha, and you can beat us, but its always a very close race, so let's just be friends, and share our experiences! And have major fun with our cars!RV

Something in the form of a "426 HEMI" ???

Some would consider a 70 B-Body Mopar the best choice for a HEMI car.:Brow: Freash air hood:Brow: , 60 series tires:Brow: , big overhang out the rear:Brow: , etc,etc:Brow: :3gears:

What ever happend to the 4 or 5 cars that were ready to beat my car last year??? We need more Buick`s for a 5 on 5.:(

Any FAST Buick`s??????

Jim, now that the roll bar is legal how far is "BIG RED" from this format??

GBUICK

Dave Dudek said:Jim, now that the roll bar is legal how far is "BIG RED" from this format??

Dave, when the FAST Committee made the decision a while back, that roll bars would never be allowed, I built an aluminum headed Stage 2 470" street engine for Big Red. Had roll bars been allowed back then, I NEVER would have built Mighty Mouse, I would have put all my efforts on running my Buick in FAST. Had I done that, you guys would have had your hands full...

It's my understanding that the 5 Buick vs. 5 HEMI challenge will be 2 teams of F.A.S.T legal cars that will do a best 2 outa 3 shootout. Not sure if all the details are worked out yet, But it could be cars are picked out of a hat to find your partner or perhaps we will make qualifying passes and group them up that way. I personally think that a random mystery pairing is the way to go. I would imagine that all cars involved would run within a couple 10ths of one another. I say the losing team has to give Casey a bikini wax while watching Kenny G videos:shock:

Casey Marks
