This may be a simple question and I'm pretty sure the answer is as plain a the nose on my face, but I brought a quadrajet w/ an electric choke for my 455. My car is a 77 regal. It came w/ a 350 two barrel. I can't remember if the two barrel had an electric choke or not. Here's the problem, Were or what do I hook the Choke up to get it to work and do I have to ground it some how. It has on plug on the choke. It is off of a 77 oldsmobile. Please Help

All you need is a source for switched 12 volts. Run a wire from the fuse box. Make sure you have 12 volts with ignition switch on only.

I believe tlivingd on the v8buick board has done this conversion. He bought the setup from www.carbsunlimited.com and get it to work. Try PM'ing him.

The secondary choke pull-off was connecteed through the sensor on the air cleaner. This sensor also controlled the valve in the snorkel, as it opened, the secondary opened as well. On these air cleaners, they used two sensors, but I believe this will work. Some food for thought... if the choke is properly adjusted, the effects of the secondary pull-off will be invisible. This secondary pull-off was used to control emissions, not add driveability. Ray

Hi Ray!
Welcome to the Board! We are all grateful when an expert shows up to help us out! Do you have your own business?

I did for a while. I have specialized in driveability and engine performance since the early '60's. My shop specialized in emission control, tune-up, and electrical and electronics. I had it for four years until I essentially worked myself out of a job. I still enjoy helping where I can. Ray
