Can anyone please tell me what the accessory wheel on the right side of the speedometer does?

"Accessory" switch usually used on a power antenna or power top.

That switch is used for power tops on convertibles and rear window defoggers on hard tops. The parts car i have with a power antenna has the switch mounted right above the radio, may not be a factory job though.

There are 3 variants of that swtich...

If the switch is on top its the rear defroster, if on the bottom its a convertible top... And no switch at all if it has neither..
