I was hoping to keep the fender skirts on my '68 and stuff the widest tire in the back as possible. I'm sure I have already found the information I need about the widest I can use from past threads, but will my skirts drastically effect my available area? If so, then about how wide can I go?
Lastly, I was wondering what a 10" tire looked like from the back sitting underneath a Skylark. If anyone has a 9.5-10.5" tire under their GS, I would love to see a picture.

Thanks,
Jacob

Don't the skirts on the Skylark have a mounting rod or bracket on the backside? Might want to have a look and see just where it is positionedon your car. I would think it would be a problem with bigger tires.

Jacob,

I can't answer your question, but I couldn't help but notice your car in the avatar. It appears you've got the chrome strip around the front wheel well......Am I correct?

I've got a '68 Skylark convertible with the rear skirts. It doesn't have the chrome up front, but I may want to put them on some day.......Thanks, Mark

Mark, I do have the chrome strip. I do not know what else to say, I hope that's all you were looking for. It was on the car when I got it.

That's all I needed. I think it adds to the overall look of the car Thanks :TU:
