So I pull up to this stoplight, mindin my own business, and I hear this pittiful little chevy showin some pipe. I looked over and he says "whatcha got in there." I say "stock". I dropped her into 1st, winked at his girl, and the light turns green (all at once). I didn't push it, just kept pace (in low). Let him get a bumper on me, then "hammer down". Tires bark and bite, Flowmasters roar, do I really need to relay what happend next? OK, you talked me into it.
This kid looked like I just stole his mojo, as I pulled a couple carlengths in front of his IROC (ZZZ). I eased back to let him catch up, then asked him... "Hey guy, how do I get this thing out of second?" Then I dropped it into 1st, and hammer down again. Think I scared him with the sidewaz action as I hit second, cause he slowed waaaaaay down. I stopped at the next light, he stopped in the other lane, even with my back bumper with no one in front of him. I guess he couldn't handle the truth. Hail to the almighty BUICK.

Hey, does anyone know the penalty for streetracing in California? THEY TAKE YOUR CAR! Not impound, they confiscate. Proceeds go to the gov't. Gotta love Arnold. Guess I need to dial it back a notch.

It's my understanding, that CA would confiscate your car before Arnold was elected.

When I was in San Diego, there was quite a stink about all the illegal street racing.

Anyone know if they still have the organized street car drag racing near Qualcomm? If they want to reduce the illegal activities....they need many more events like this!!

Thanks guys, that means a lot. I put this thing on ebay last week, I have 19 hours left on my auction. I just watched that fake a$$ 68 "GS400" sell for like $13,500, and my skylark is only up to $3400? At least I'm not trying to sell a myth. I can't beleive no one has bought it. I have had it for sale for 3 weeks now locally. Everyone keeps saying $6000, thats all? I'll call you, yet my phone remains silent..... It's sad when a great car cant find a home.

Skyman, that car of yours is very sleak and mean looking. You can tell that it's not meant for luxury when you see that stance. I love the way buick manufactured the 68's and 69's. Very nicely detailed. I've said it before and i'll say it again, if only i had the money, the car would be sold and have a good home, but money is the biggest problem. Very nice car though.

You have to understand that most Irocs came with a 305 TPI motor. At the most these engines were rated at 220hp. The 350 only saw 240hp. There were no big blocks, so ofcourse you are gonna kill him.

My car is just a 350, and he started it.... You and I both know that an Iroc ZZZ isn't fast.... I think the sad thing, is that to these poor "dissafected youth", an Iroc is fast. yunguns today have no idea what fast is! This makes it fun to "flex" a little on them, and keep them in check.:laugh:

I grew up around 3rd gen camaros/firebirds (my aunt had one and my other uncle raced one on a circle track, not to mention that the 3rd gen f-body is pretty much the basic body style of circle track all around here) so that's how I equate them as being fast, they were the fastest cars I knew of until I really got into the whole car hobby, I'm guessing thats where alot of other people are getting it from.

Yup, yup..... When I give rides in my car (rarely) the eyeballs are always bulging before I have even hit second... And all I can think of is "how can I make this thing faster"
