Hi!

I have a 1968 Skylark Custom.

Where can I find the build sheet on my car?

I found mine on top of the gas tank. Too bad it was for a different car! I did find the owner and it's back where it belongs.

Duane is the expert but from what I've heard inside a door panel, under the rear seat, behind a bucket seat back, behind a pillar cover or maybe up under the dash. Like a treasure hunt!

If your car was built in Flint Michigan, the sheet will be on top of the gastank. If it is from another plant it is probably hog-ringed to the springs on the rear seat. But if you don't find it there start looking everywhere.

That is, if the mice haven't found it first! I found mine behind the top section of the rear seat, hog ringed and half chewed away by mice. Thankfully, someone at Buick put two sheets in because of a printing problem on the first. the second one was a bit higher and the mice must not have liked the taste!:Dou:

My '68 GS400 was built in Willmington, DE and I found two build sheets for my car, one in the back seat springs and the other in the seat back of the passenger side bucket seat.

I had another '68 GS400 built in Flint that I never found the build sheet for, even when I replaced the gas tank.:(

my understanding is 1968 is very rare year to find buid sheets.

my car was assembled in baltimore and i have been all through it and can not find it.

I found the build sheet behind the rear seat back of my Wilmington-built 68 GS conv.

I found my build sheets for 1970 gsx, one above the gas tank, and after tearing the car apart looking every were, found the other sheet rolled up under the carpet below the drivers side bucket seat- they can anywere. also found small sheets of paper with the console no. and other package no's. written on them. :beer
