Hello everyone,
This is a non buick question ( it runs like a bat outta hell!) so dont be too hard on me! Im curious
how can you be absoultely sure if your at top dead center or not? I put rebuilt heads as well as cam, intake, headers, etc on my 68 wagon today and i want to make sure at start up that it is correct. #1 piston is at top of block (intake & exhaust lifters are at the same height, correct?) and I can feel pressure wanting to push my finger out of the way on the #1 sparkplug hole. Im turn the engine with a wrench by hand in the direction that it will run. Is this correct or is it backwards? Should my finger be feeling a suction or pull into the head. I their a website with goo photos of this? Inquirey minds want to know! Thanks for all the previous help! Drew in South Carolina.
