67 Skylark backspacing

Mine is a unmodified body-still has the fender skirt mounts on the quarter- I have heard so many say I should be able to get a 4.5-5.5 back spacing on a 8.5 rim. 9 inch wide slick/street et.

Also with my combination, would a drag radial hook?

I always hear the statement-" Well Goodridge is running in the 7s with a drag radial, so you should have no probs with it either."

I hear that a 15X8 with a 4.5-5.5 should work.
You just measure from the face back to the desired clearance area near the frame right?
