I just bought a 71 GS455, and don't really care for the small/skinny 14 inch ralleys. I looked on Year Ones site and I am thinking about the 15x8's all the way around. The guy I bought the car from said to look for the WJ Stage 1 offset wheels. I was wondering if I should get the 4" offset or 4 1/2 offset. I want a wider tire, but plan on keeping the car stock height/ect. Any suggestions?

Derick,Summitt or Jegs have Wheel Vintiques Buick ralleys in 15x7/or 15x8 much chieper than Year one. $125 ea. in the Summitt cat.

15 x 7 with 4 1/2" backspace with 245/60/15 tires would replicate what you are looking for.
Year one prices are a bit high, should be able to get a better price. Try Specialty Wheels in Oregon.

Keith, I guess I am going to need to put you on my payroll!

Korrie, thanks for the info. I am trying to get that mean muscle car look I have always loved. My 70 lark can get funky rims/tires/lowered/etc.!

I can only seem to find 15x7 with 4 inch backspacing :Do No:

The 15x8 have the 4 1/2 backspacing. Would 15x8's be to big in front with the 245/60/15's?

Check this thread (http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48149&highlight=specialty+wheels) re Specialty Wheel.

Word of caution. I used Wheel Vintiques. One was defective, took 8 months to replace it.

Those backspacings, 15x7 with 4", and 15x8 with 4.5", keep the wheel centered in the wheel wells. Anything else will be a custom job. I got my 15x8's and 15x10's from Specialty Wheel and love them. They delivered within a week, not 3 months like Wheel Vintiques told me, and then strung me along for another two. I think they're too busy making Chebby wheels to be bothered with us Buick guys. They say it's because they can't get any good cores. I offered to send them my 14" wheels to use as cores and they refused.

Specialty Wheel is the place to go.

Thanks for all the info so far.

I still don't know what WJ wheel is though...any more info on this? I just really hate the way my current rims look like they are so sunk in towards the body.

Think you are referring to WG wheels.

This thread (http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36309&highlight=wheel+codes) should help you out.
