Thanks guys, It is built from the Ertl GS 50 fastest series car and an Ertl Chevelle SS 454.

I was amazed at how different the frames and suspensions were between the two.

Considering that they were in reality basically identical under the skin and almost 100 % interchangeable.

You would think that Ertl could save some time and money by using the same platform for these cars and simply changing interior,bodywork and underhood detail.
