67 SportWagon - 1 owner!

It's not perfect, but after 37 years, it's beautiful to me! I bought it in an estate sale from the original owners in St Louis. The interior's remarkably clean, and there's minimal rust. It sat in a garage for the last 10 years, but the tires didn't even need air. The a/c parts had been removed, but I got almost all of them with the car.
I had to change the water pump, so I did belts & hoses as well. It still had the original power steering belt on it! I tuned it and rebuilt the carb. It runs sweet.
The only problem I have now is that I bought the car to hot rod it. I've got the wheels & tires, and a 500 Caddy on the engine stand. I know it would look awesome slammed, but I'm beginning to feel very guilty.
UPDATE: My brother in law just bought a 70 GS with a 73 455 in it. He said I could have the 455 short block. I've also got a line on a late 60's 430. Would the 430 heads flow as well as the 455 heads? :3gears:

Trade the Caddy engine for a BUICK 455....

That's the only problem I see with your plan:)

I like it alot! What size white walls are those? The walls would work with the woodgrain on my Sportwagon. How did you lower it? My 340 runs good enough that I'm going to hold off on the 500 Caddy. Dave

Nice find Dave!! You know, a 455 swaps in with very little effort....

Tires are 205/75x15`s on 15x7 Astro Supremes. Lowered by cutting coils but
I would probably use shortened springs instead. It rode great even with half the spring gone!
