Ok, this may sound dumb but has anyone thought about using an Edelbrock 215 intake manifold on a 340? A while back I seem to remember someone saying that adaptor plates could be made since the V of the 340 is wider than the 215. I have a picture somewhere of a modified intake for the 340, though I'm not sure which intake was used (possibly a Rover). Anyway, has anyone attempted this? Just thought I'd throw this out to see what people think.
Yeah, it can be done.... But don't start with a 215 intake. The plates would have to be pretty thick with causes angle problems with the bolts. A slightly wider one is avalable for adaptation. If you're set on this, take a look here:

You'd have to combine the intake in the middle with the plates on the one at the end to get what you want.

The runners on the 215 intake would be way too small to feed the 340 engine. Jim Burek
