On my 72 lark I have the factory 15x7 sport wheel.in the front. The rear wheels are 15x8 from Wheel Vintiques. The rear tires fill the wheel well very full and look good from behind. I would like to do something to the front wheels to make them fill the fender opening. More to match the rear. I don't want to buy new wheels but was thinging of a spacer between the drum and the wheel. Replace the studs with longer ones to get through the spacer. I am wondering how wide could I go with a spacer and not be unsafe. I have seen some of the rice burners around here that have soo much offset to the wheel they are actually sticking out from the fenders 5-6 inches. Looks really stupid and very unsafe. Have any ideas let me know. Ken

I've seen some posts where guys are running 275/50 or 60-15's on the front and some pictures. They really fill the wheelwell, I really like the way the 245/60-15's fill the fronts up. Just a thought. :TU:

I will look into bigger tires. This would be better than spacers. What do you think the bigest tire I could on a factory 15x7" Wheel. I won't be able to respond for a few days but leave advice anywhy. Thanks. Ken

Most of the posts I've seen are safety related. The 245's and 255's seem to be ok but some guys are running 275's. I just saw this thread the other day. I'll look for it and post it here. Tire Size (http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=56298)

BTW I just noticed that you are in Lakewood :TU: I lived there from 85 to 91. On eaton street by Villa Italia(I think that's how you spell it?). We had a drive up liquor store right down the street :beer Nice in the summer and it sucks in the winter!! :TU:

I will get on the tire site and see whats happening. Villa Italia has been totaly torn down. In its place the city of Lakewood has built a town approx in the 50's area with oldtime theater, stop signs no lites. Just a huge shopping area but very well done. Of course the City wants as much $ from taxes as it can get. Several years ago I was to Chandler' AZ for drag boat races. Really a kick to see 1/4 mile times on water. Thanks for the info.Ken
