Shifter question

I have an almost new Hurst Comp. plus shifter which was mounted on a Muncie 4-spd. Will this shifter work with a Saginaw trans with the proper rods and mounting plate or are the shifters themselves mechanically different for each trans. Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Mike,

The shifter will interchange. Just order a linkage kit for the Saginaw. I did this several years ago, accept I went from a Saginaw to a Muncie.

I was given the same info from someone else this morning. I ordered a saginaw installation kit for the Hiurst from Jegs today.
