Just got back from the body shop. They fixed the rear window rust, welded trim holes, and took care of the many "love taps" this car has had over the many years.
Here is the before and after.

Tell me more about your coilovers. How did it change the handling, what are the part #'s .
How firm is the ride? Sounds like a future upgrade for me.

Wish I could giv you that info, but I havnt driven the car any but just around the block. And it still needs alignment, swaybars, etc.
Here is a link to them : QA 1 coilover conversion (http://www.qa-one.com/shocks/procoilsystems.html)

Where did you get the rears from? I just spoke to QA1, and they said that they don't offer a rear set up for the GM A-body.

Sorry, should have been more clear. They are coilover fronts. I just bought rear springs, but have replacement QA1 shocks for the rear.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or did you have the roofline molding and "gutter" removed as well?

I'm also in SoCal (Ventura County). What shop did you go to for your bodywork?

You are correct, I had the drip rail shaved. I used Magnolia Street Autobody in Ontario for the work. I will be using someone else for the paint though.

Wow. Do you have any close-up shots available of those shaved drip-rail areas?

Nice! I am getting an estimate hopefully today (if the shop has time) on my 65s body work. I like the drip rails shaving idea, I am going to check into that. Thanks for the idea!...Joe
