I need to know which Hoosiers to buy for my tank. I want to try and run the best tire for a 4000 lb car. I have on the car now a 29.5 X 11 (I think) MT ET DRAG and I cant tell but the car still isnt hooking. That may be caused from the track being slippery, and since I have not ever been to a hooking track I am not sure what one feels like yet............. :3gears: :Dou:

I need to know the compound or style of tire. I will figure out the size myself.

I was looking at Bobb Mackley's GS and those seem to be hooking so I thought I would get out the plastic and get a set and go try one more time. I have no idea what to do to get this car to bite. :Do No:

And doing it without cutting anymore. If I had the 2 cars I have for sale sold I might just buy a chassis car from racejunk.com :Smarty:

Mike

I do not know if this will help you, but I have Hoosier Quick Time Pro's on two of my cars. One is about 600 h.p and the other is about 700 h.p. I have run at two different tracks and traction has never been a problem with either car. Good luck.

How do you think I feel, Mike. You hook better than I do every time we race! :moonu:

I think we just need to keep working, because there are guys going a lot faster than us on less tire. Don't go the tube frame route, I can't afford to keep up with you yet :Dou:

EXACTLY !!!! Mike. There are alot of heads up guys running faster than you are. Neat thing is they do it on street tires. I think you have the right tire, its just a matter of figuring out how the faster guys keep from spinning. Like you are now. Time to start doing some homework and find someone that knows......................

Question how much tire pressure are you running? Ever try adjusting. How old are your tires ever most guys i know with high horse power cars only get 15-20(and thats pushing) passes out of there tires

Yes I have gone from 10 -15 on severral runs to decide the pressure of 12 lbs. The tires are like 8 weeks old.

what is the suspension setup in the car(front and rear)? You should be able to hook with that tire.
