Carb Shaft Leaks

Hi guys... It seems like all of carbs I have ( a couple quads and a holley 650dp ) seem to have a bit of movement up and down on the butterfly shafts... Is this normal??? Wouldn't this create vacuum leaks??? How much movement is normal?? Thanks :beer

Any shaft movement is a vacuum leak and problem
You need to have the throttle plate bushed to eliminate slop
