1955 bumpers

I have a 55 super and need to know if the bumpers are interchangeable for all models. I may have found a good set from a special and wonder if it will fit my super

My guess is the Super and Roadmaster are the same, the Special and Century are different.The Super and Roadmaster are wider.

I'm not positive if the bumpers off the Special will fit your car. I hope they do because I have a 55 Special that I am starting the restoration on and know how difficult it is to find quality parts.

That being said, if they do not fit your car I may be interested in them depending on the condition and location. I live in Michigan and shipping from the west coast is pricey.

Keep me in mind if you can not use them.

The bumpers are on E-Bay now under 1955 buick.
They seam to be a good price compaired to the estimate that I have to replate mine, but a little pricey when I'm not sure if they will fit. Thank you for your answers. :TU:

Hi Sue

You have a '55 Super which is a GM "C" Body Car. The Bumpers from a Special or Century which is a smaller shorter and narrower "B" Body will not fit, They are too narrow. Bumpers from a Roadmaster which is also a C body will fit.
