Its been awhile since I've been able to type, so I apologize for my disapearance. Four weeks ago, I broke my ring finger on my right hand (I'm right handed). This is the third time I've broken a finger in the last two years. I went to my doctor for an exam and a physical and my doctor finds that I have high blood pressure, and with my past kidney problems, my doctor becomes alarmed. I went for blood work and everything comes back fine. Last week I go for an ultrasound and they think there is a possibility I may have a blocked artery. Next wednesday I am to go for an MRI on both kidneys.......just say a prayer for me. I feel a bit selfish asking for prayers in light of all the trouble others on the board are having, but I really need some relief. Thanks Dave

Don't feel selfish, David, about asking for a prayer! Consider one sent your way...
Let's hope it turns out to be nothing! Think Positive! :TU:

I will pray for you and hope all is well :)
David, Just read your post. Will talk to the Boss about you for sure. When I read the Bible it tells me that God is the same Yesterday , today and forever. He healed people back when and still does today. We believe that He made us and He can repaire us when we ask. Ill ness comes from Satan and God is against him and all his works. Hang in there pard. WE are praying for You. :TU: :TU:

David
Its hard to ask for prayers, but thats what God instructs us to do. No requests are too small and never be embarrassed to ask. You will be in our prayers. Hopefully good health is just ahead

I'd take a job on the UP in no time, but I'm not going to cover a 500 mile extra board. Its too late, I'm spoiled. I don't want to go back to the bottom of the barrel!
We're looking for trainmen in Ohio who have worked for shortlines, they are much better switchmen than others who have worked road jobs their entire career. Where anticipating adding another 29 miles once the Youngstown & Southern deal goes through. So what shortline do you work for?
I retired off the kansas city southern. worked for Southern pacific, houston belt , tennessee southern , columbus&greenville, and alabama gulf coaST.
i WAS A BOOMER. operator ,hostler ,hostler helper, engineer, brakeman, switchman. HIGHBALL!!!!!!!!! :Brow:

Not sure? I interviewed with Conrail for dispatcher and brakeman, CSX for brakeman and they didn't want me. I stopped in to see a trainmaster on the Buffalo & Pittsburgh on a whim, and I practically had the job the next day without any RR experience. After I quit the B&P, I had phone calls at Wisconsin Central, Springfield Terminal, Ohio Central, and Amtrak (as a tower operator on the NE corridor) because they had heard I was looking for a job. Its really strange how the tight knit the RR comunity is. Some railroads want you and others won't go near you with a ten foot pole! Anyhow, I'll have 5 years on the OC in April, It is huge working for Christians..........in the RR community of all places!
